The Dode Family

For over 100 years, the Dode family has proudly been rooted in the life of the Les 2 Alpes resort. Pioneering and passionate, they have actively participated in the tourist and festive development of the mountain. It is in this spirit of legacy and local roots that Mr. Patrice Dode laid the solid foundations of a family project, now carried forward by the new generation.

A Family of Entrepreneurs

The Dode family, descended from the old traveling merchants of the Oisans region, is part of a long tradition of hard work and mountain entrepreneurship. In 1924, André Dode was born in Venosc, carrying forward the spirit of effort and service inherited from his ancestors. In 1949, his son Patrice Dode was born, continuing the commitment to quality and dedication. In 1965, the family founded one of the first garages in Les Deux Alpes, providing fuel delivery and boiler maintenance for the resort, contributing to its growth. In 1976, Patrice launched a major project with the construction and opening of Hotel La Brunerie, a symbol of local tourism development. Finally, in 1995, the Dode family expanded their mountain adventure with the creation of Chalet de la Toura, an altitude restaurant that has become a must-visit spot in Les Deux Alpes. Through each generation, the Dode family, alongside Isabelle Dode (Patrice’s wife), perfectly embodies the evolution of mountain professions—from the traveling merchants of the past to today’s mountain entrepreneurs.
